Kill Me Heal Me

Kill Me Heal Me, where do I begin? This show is both sad and funny, just the right combination. The show starts off being funny while still taking itself seriously. Why it was so funny had a lot to do with the personalities of Cha Do Hyun.
For those of you that don't know about Kill Me Heal Me or don't know what it is about, let me explain. This show is about Cha Do Hyun and his struggle with multiple personality disorder. Do Hyun ended up going back to Korea because of his personality Shin Se Gi. Se Gi is the bad boy personality. He gets into some trouble right away because of Se Gi. He gets a job as VP at one the business that his family owns. Since he is back in Korea he has to keep is disorder a secret while also receiving treatment. Not an easy thing when your uncle and cousin are out to get you. This is where Ri Jin comes in. She is the only one that tame Se Gi and she for some reason the other personalities react to her. I wonder why that is? You have to watch the show to know the reason.
Do Hyun and Ri Jin have to work together to keep his secret safe but to also get rid off his alter egos. Cha Do Hyun has six other personalities inside him, Shin Se Gi, Perry Park, Yo Na, Nana, Mr.X and Yo Seob. All these personalities is what makes this show great.
Now that I gave a little of the background, sort of. *I'm sorry I really such at summaries.* Now I can talk about the acting for this show. The acting was really good, I was not disappointed at all. I first watched this show when it was airing and as I watched this show I watched Hyde, Jekyll and Me. When I compare those two shows Kill Me Heal Me is far more superior to Hyde, Jekyll and Me. The acting is far better and the story is better too. When thing that I love about Kill Me Heal Me is that Ji Sung, who plays Cha Do Hyun, becomes all the personalities. He not only changes the way he dresses, his hair style, but also the way that he talks and approaches people. Every time he switches personalities it does seem like it is a different person, even though you know it's the same actor. I know by just watching this show that Ji Sung is a really good actor for being able to pull off what he did in this show. He is a good actor. The acting this show is really good to begin with, I know I always say that, but I mean it. This show is top notch. You can also feel the chemistry between the actors. When you can feel that you know that it's a good show.
The story for this show is something that I haven't seen in a K-drama. Not only does it deal with DID, but it also deals with abuse. As you watch the show the pieces slowly come together and form something horrific. My eyes watered so many times watching this show. As Kill Me Heal Me progresses the story gets a little but darker. You learn about Do Hyun's past along with Ri Jin's. I'm not going to give any spoilers. You have to watch the show to learn more about why it's so sad, so I will leave it off there.
The music for this show really completes it. Without it it would be naked. While the OST may not have a lot of songs to it it does its job well enough. The OST is one of my favorites by far. It captures your heart as you watch the show. Not to mention that with some of the songs I think of Se Gi. The OST brings back memories from the show and that is what am OST is supposed to do. It brings back all these memories from the show.
Kill Me Heal Me is in my top five favorite dramas. It is a definite must watch. Take some time out your day to watch this show, because you won't regret it.
